Trial by Fire

Game update 7.6.1 added several hidden achievements that can be completed during the Trial By Fire Dynamic Encounter on Hoth. This guide is in work and will be updated once I confirm more details.

Trial By Fire Encounter – Hidden Achievements

These will take a while to complete, because you need to complete the encounter repeatedly on the same character. You will collect bound items through repeated completion of the encounter.

The primary objective of most of these achievements is to collect various sensor data. There are three ways to collect sensor data:

1. Charge the Sensors more than once before activating

2. Calibrate the Sensors more than once before activating

3. Charging + Calibrating before Activating the Sensors (never activate unless you’ve charged AND calibrated first)

Every time you complete one of those actions, you will receive at least one inaccurate data item. You need these to complete the Junk Science achievement. You also have a chance to collect either Verified Temperature Data, Pinpoint Tremor Readings, or Accurate Flow Data. You’ll collect these to complete some of the other achievements.

Some of these achievements will require use of an Encrypted Commlink Antenna. To acquire a Commlink, complete the Encounter’s Bonus mission and there is a chance you will receive one as a reward. The Commlink gives you a buff that will allow you to complete 40 actions during the encounter instead of 20. It only grants this enhancement one time. The achievements that require the Commlink are also going to require a partner to heal you because you will be standing in the lava for a longer period of time.

Off The Charts

Commlink Required: NO

Required Items: 10x Verified Temperature Data

Action: Charge Sensors 2x, Calibrate Sensors 2x, OR Calibrate + Charge, then Activate Sensors

Completing these actions will give you inaccurate data items, and also grant you the chance to obtain Verified Temperature Data. Once you have compiled 10 Verified Temperature Data, right click the stack to receive 1 XXX Temperature Data.

Terrible Tremors

Commlink Required: NO

Required Items: 10x Pinpoint Tremor Readings

Action: Charge Sensors 2x, Calibrate Sensors 2x, OR Calibrate + Charge, then Activate Sensors

Completing these actions will give you inaccurate data items, and also grant you the chance to obtain Pinpoint Tremor Readings. Once you have compiled 10 Pinpoint Tremor Readings, right click the stack to receive 1 XXX Tremor Reading.

Magma Disturbance

Commlink Required: NO

Required Items: 10x Accurate Flow Data

Action: Charge Sensors 2x, Calibrate Sensors 2x, OR Calibrate + Charge, then Activate Sensors

Completing these actions will give you inaccurate data items, and also grant you the chance to obtain Accurate Flow Data. Once you have compiled 10 Accurate Flow Data, right click the stack to receive 1 XXX Flow Data.

Maximum Depth

Commlink Required: YES

Action: Charge + Calibrate + Activate the Drill repeatedly until your Drill buff has 20 stacks

This will require the Commlink to be activated prior to starting. You’ll need someone to heal you since you’ll be standing in the lava for a longer period of time. Once you reach 20 stacks, you will receive the achievement.

Hypercharged!

Commlink Required: NO

Action: Use “Charge” action repeatedly until the description reads “Auto-Calibrate”

Repeatedly use the Charge action when available, on all 4 abilities, and do not use “Activate” at all, until the tooltip for the Charge action read “Hyper-Charge”.

Auto-Calibrated!

Commlink Required: NO

Action: Use “Calibrate” action repeatedly until the description reads “Auto-Calibrate”

Repeatedly use the Calibrate action, when available, on all 4 abilities, and do not use “Activate” at all, until the tooltip for the action read “Auto-Calibrate”.

Volcanic Researcher

Commlink Required: NO

Required Items:

· XXX Temperature Data

· XXX Tremor Reading

· XXX Flow Data

Obtain these items by completing Off The Charts, Terrible Tremors, and Magma Disturbance. When you have all three items on the same character, you’ll receive the achievement.
